East Fishkill Open Space Preservation Ballot Measure

What You Need to Know

What's on the Ballot?

On November 3, 2026, East Fishkill voters will consider a proposal concerning the preservation of open space and land.

A yes vote would let the Town of East Fishkill borrow to buy land, or rights and interests in land to keep them permanently open and green.

It comes directly from the Town's 2025 Comprehensive Plan, Cultivating Balance, and from resident feedback gathered during that planning process.

Ballot language:

"Shall the Town of East Fishkill be authorized to borrow up to $20,000,000, for a period not to exceed 30 years, to acquire parcels of land, or rights or interests in such land, for passive park purposes and open space preservation?"
